MATERNAL AND PERINATAL OUTCOMES IN PREGNANCY ASSOCIATED WITH ABRUPTIO PLACENTA

Background: Placental Abruption is an important cause of antepartum haemorrhage. It defined as the separation placenta either partially or totally from its implantation site before delivery. APH a major maternal and perinatal morbidity mortality. Therefore study was planned to outcomes in patients abruption placenta. Methods: The present conducted department obstetrics gynaecology, SMGS, Hospital, Govt. Medical College Jammu over period 1 year. prospective all case Abruptio ≥ 28 weeks gestational age were included. Results: observed that maximum cases Placenta i.e 67.65% multigravida. 41.47% had hypertension. 4.41 % Polyhydramnios. 61.76% delivered vaginally. 23.53% postpartum haemorrhage whereas only 2.98% undergone Postpartum Hysterectomy. most common fetal complication prematurity (35.71%). 5.89% Placentas died during Peripartum period. Perinatal mortality high 48.58%. Conclusions: placent associated with significant Good regular antenatal care availability emergency medical services remains backbone for good outcomes.
